Vision
Referring to the vision of Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, the Bachelor’s Program in Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics Concentration) has articulated its vision at a more specific level in line with its field of expertise. Therefore, the vision of the Bachelor’s Program in Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics Concentration) can be formulated as follows:
To become an excellent and humane undergraduate program in the field of Electrical Engineering that develops mechatronics knowledge to advance local potential to the global level for enhancing human dignity and the integrity of creation.
Mission
The mission of the Bachelor’s Program in Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics Concentration) is an elaboration of the implementation of education and teaching, research, and community service activities carried out in an effort to realize the vision of the Bachelor’s Program in Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics Concentration) by 2028. The formulated mission statements of the Bachelor’s Program in Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics Concentration) are as follows:
- Become a humane academic community in the field of mechatronics engineering that develops local potential to a global level.
- Conduct research in industrial technology and disseminate its results through teaching, then dedicate those results to society for the enhancement of human dignity and the integrity of creation.
- Provide student-centered learning based on research in industrial technology to promote human dignity and the integrity of creation.
- Carry out community service based on research in industrial technology to promote human dignity and the integrity of creation.
All in accordance with the University’s motto, Bakuning Hyang Mrih Guna Santyaya Bhakti.
Objectives
The objectives of the UNPAR Bachelor’s Study Program in Mechatronics Engineering are:
- To produce graduates in Electrical Engineering who can professionally apply fundamental and practical principles of Mechatronics in engineering industries and other fields, while upholding high ethical standards and a strong work ethic.
- To produce graduates in Electrical Engineering who can conduct and advance research related to their profession and/or pursue further study in Mechatronics or related disciplines.
- To produce graduates in Electrical Engineering who can work individually or in teams and develop effective communication and leadership skills in both professional settings and local or international communities.
The values embodied in points 1 to 3 above constitute the general competencies as defined at Level 6 of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), namely:
- Ability to apply one’s field of expertise and leverage science, technology, and/or the arts in problem-solving, and to adapt to changing situations.
- Mastery of theoretical concepts, both general and in-depth within a specialized area, and the ability to formulate procedural solutions.
- Capacity for sound decision-making based on analysis of information and data, and to guide the selection of alternative solutions independently or in groups.
- Responsibility for one’s own work, and readiness to take on accountability for achieving organizational goals.
